Braised, Slow Cooker Lamb Shanks

If you are entertaining this season, this is the only entree to serve your guests! It is literally, fall off the bone perfection. Delicious!

Chai Tea Latte Cupcakes

One of my favourite drinks for fall is, hands down, a chai tea latte.  It was only a matter of time before I combined this amazing concoction together to create the perfect dessert.

Papaya Breakfast Parfait

I’m usually not a morning person. But now I’m trying to change that.

My at home breakfast will still have to be quick – and hopefully a little healthier than that granola bar.

Crispy, Delicious Brussel Sprouts

Growing up, I hated brussel sprouts. And I mean H-A-T-E-D!

My aunt would always make them for us.  She would boil them and they would be this soft, tasteless lump of green sitting in my plate. the kids would all come together to devise a plan to make these things go away.

This recipe is NOT for my aunt’s mushy brussel sprouts!

Drunken Tequila Lime Chicken

As summer has officially begun, it marks the start of grilling season.

I am always looking for different recipes to try and this one definitely beats the typical barbecue sauce chicken that most of us gravitate towards, only because it’s easy and doesn’t require much thinking.

Lemon Lavender Shortbread Cookies

When life gives you lemons….

Typically on dessert menus I either go for something rich and chocolaty, or something bright and fruity.  I have always had a weakness for desserts with a citrus note to it – lemon meringue, key lime pie…. So it is no surprise that I fell in love with these lemon lavender shortbread cookies.

I have tons of photos from my travels (the only souvenirs I need and collect!). But more importantly, I never made a photo album for our wedding photos.  Instead, I framed the really good ones (we were lucky to have a lot of great shots) and created a gallery wall.

Crispy and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

There is something about the smell of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies that makes any home feel warm and inviting.I actually read somewhere that the smell of chocolate chip cookies triggers fond, happy memories.

Skinny Creamy Mushroom Pasta

I came up with a recipe of my own that uses skim milk for the sauce and tastes just as good as the ones using heavy cream.  This way, I can eat all the creamy pasta I want without all the guilt!  (Okay, maybe not, but you know what I mean!)

Delicious Nutella Cupcakes

This is definitely a crowd pleaser, in my experience, regardless what time of year - it always seems to be the season of Ferrero Rocher.  Everyone seems to love the delicious combination of chocolate and hazelnuts (and Nutella!), so I’ve combined them into one of eveyone's favourite desserts - cupcakes!

Easy Mushroom Puff Pastry Tart

I used to be afraid of any kind of pastry and shy away from making it because I always thought it would be hard work.  But then I found ready made puff pastry in the frozen section of my local grocery store.  I bought a box thinking I would try it out once – if it fails, it fails, but at least I tried.

I didn’t fail!

You can’t fail.

These are just. That. Easy.

If you have a lot of photos that you would like to display, I would highly suggest you show them off in a gallery wall!

Simple and Tasty Grilled Tomato Toast

While I love myself a good avocado toast, the cooler weather has me craving something rich and savoury.

Dinner at Biff's

Summer is winding down and so are our finite number of of patio days. To make the most of it, the Mister and I went to one of our favourite patios close to home - Biff's Bistro.
